Until the wine is in the bottle, there are many things to do! I would like to give you an insight into my daily work and the wine making process.
We are done harvesting the grapes. Now the vinification process starts. After a hot and very dry summer we are looking forward to get a glimse of how our wine vintage 2018 will taste.
We are looking back at a great harvest 2017.
This year my "open winery" took place on May 7th at our new location. Like last year I offered a tour into my wine cellar to give an insight into my work and wine. I was proud to offer my new wine Spätburgunder 2015 (pinot noir).
At the beginning of May I was able to move my wine into my new wine cellar.
At the beginning of October we could finally harvest the first grapes of the year 2016.
In September the wine Spätburgunder Alte Reben was ready to get filled. Here are some pictures.
This year my "Open Winery" took place within an uncommon warm winter. Like last year I
presented my wine and my work through my winery tours. Next to my wine Spätburgunder 2014 we had wines from Weingut Dr. Benz and Flammkuchen prepared by my uncle on the wood
stove.
